ST. MARY'S (OLD CEMETERY)
Town of Manlius
Submitted by Kathy Crowell, Sue Goodfellow and Maggie Davison
This cemetery is located on the southwest corner at the intersection of
the Kirkville and Schepps Corners roads, Minoa. Rev. William M. Beauchamp
noted that this cemetery has many curiously carved stones with emblematic
figures in bas relief, evidently the work of a sculptor who signs "A. Salladin,
Sen. Mexico, N.Y." to his productions. See the history of St.
Mary's Church from the "Minoa Chronicle" for further information about
this old German cemetery.
Read August 13, 1998 by Sue Goodfellow, Maggie Davison and Kathy Crowell.
See other additional names at the end of this list for monuments no longer
readable or gone that were read by William M. Beauchamp in the early 1900s
and by Clyde Wood of N. Syracuse, N.Y. on Sept. 7, 1957.
