We the subscribers do hereby certify that at a Meeting of Universalists
held at the house of Elihu Ewers in the village of Manlius County of Onondaga
on the 18th of February 1820, pursuant to notice given according to Law,
Nathan Williams, Christopher Clark & Edward Boylston were chosen overseers,
and Nathan Williams first Trustee, Asher Mills, Tartullus Crosby, David
Williams & Judah Thompson second trustees of said Society, And it was
resolved that the said Society so formed should be known & called by
the name of the first Universal Society of Manlius and Pompey. In
witness whereof we the subscribers have hereunto set our hands and seals
this Eighteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and Twenty.
Nathan Williams, Christopher Clark, Edwd. Boylston. Sealed and delivered
in presence of J. O. Wattles, Onondaga. I certify that on this seventh
day of September 1820 came before me Nathan Williams, Christopher Clark
& Edward Boylston to me known and duly acknowledged the execution of
the within Instrument, I therefore allow it to be recorded. J. O.
Wattles, Judge of Onon. Com. pleas counsellor &c. recorded the
fifty day of October 1820 at 11 O'clock A. M. T. Adams clk.
