FIRST WARD GERMAN CHURCH, A/K/A FIRST EVANGELICAL CHURCH

First Evangelical Church, 823 Park Street originated in 1844 as a First Ward German church. It did not survive the 1960's and was defunct by 1969 when, according to the Syracuse Post-Standard, its contents were sold at auction.  OPL Local History Collection has no record of the church.  OHA has the 50th and 100th Anniversary Memoral Booklets. My interest in this church is that one of my Gr-Gr-Grandfathers helped establish the first and second dwelling as did members of the families of his 13 children.
