LOCATED ON THE GOODEN FARM, SEAL ROAD, ABOUT  2.5/10'S OF A

MILE EAST OF CORNER OF SEAL AND SLATE HILL ROADS, ON A HILL

IN THE WOODS, ABOUT 125' FROM ROAD. FIELD VISIT MADE TO THIS

SITE E ON 26 AUGUST, 1995 BY BARBARA SPAIN, MICHAEL

PLUMPTON , SIDNEY TUTHILL, JR., AND RICHARD LINCK,

OF SLATE HILL RD. (673-2981).



1. footstone: " D.T.'

2. tombstone, in 2 pieces: "David Thomas/Died/May 31, 1849./In the 80, yr/of his age."

3. footstone: "C.T."

4. 1 piece tombstone, top and bottom broken off: "wife of Davi/Thomas/died June, 22/1842./aged 78 years./Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord."

5. footstone: "D.T."

6. tombstone with a weeping willow tree motif: "The grave of/David son of/David & Chloe Thomas/who died April 22d/1812 aged 2 years/10 months & 12 days/Suffer little children/to come unto me and/forbid them not for of/such is the Kingdom of/God."

7. tombstone In 4 pieces that were found, as well as a piece which is probably the bottom of Ellen's stone which says "I Stanton, Syracuse" (probably the monument maker), with weeping willow tree motif: "ELLEN J./daughter of/Asahel &/Abigail Thomas/Died/March 29th 1811/Aged 15 years/3 mo. & 19Ds." On one piece, the following parts of a verse were found: "arly doom/sigh,/ts beyond/e tomb./be dry."
