These
pictures were from my mother's
collection. She grew up in Delphi Falls. Her name was Frances Jesse
Porter. Her family lived in the Keeney Settlement, Fabius area since
about 1800. My Grandfather's name was Frank Jesse Porter.
The pictures that I am sending, are of
my grandfather and his first wife (Olive Edna Price) who died of cancer
abt. 1911. He had a coal, harness store in the Piester building in
Delphi Falls. He also delivered the mail there. Then he married my
grandmother and they had two little girls. My mother Frances and my
aunt Olive. They are the little girls in the other pictures, (taken in
1920/21) in front of their house and overlooking Delphi.

One
is a picture of Frank J. Porter driving his buggy in front of the
Delphi House in 1905. Riding on the back,( I believe) is his niece
Lena Porter. Besides having a harness and coal store in the I.J.
Peister building, he delivered the mail.

Another is a picture of the I.J.
Peister store about 1890, with the following from left to right
standing in front (as it is written on the back of the picture):
I.J. Peister standing, Harold Blowers
(age four), Ernie Blowers, Carrie Peister (half-sister of Mrs. Seymour
and Mattie Blowers), Evalina(?) Peister- next Mattie Blowers, sitting
in front our Gran-mother Nichols holding Viola Blowers (six weeks old),
Alida Seymour (mother of Zella)- next Zella and doll, Grace Savage and
doll.

Here is a picture of Delphi Falls,
taken about 1915. I believe that the falls were part of the farm that
Frank Porter owned.

Also, pictures of Frances and Olive
Porter playing in the farm fields behind their home in Delphi about
1920.

Frank Jesse Porter as a young man
(about 1886) and another one of him in 1920.(b.1866 d.1921)

Lola Bailey Porter, Frank's wife and
Olive and Frances' mother. (b. 1874 d.1919)
